Today's square was built between 1999 and 2008 on the site of a former textile factory. Architects Ladislav Tichý and Václav Dvořák used traditional materials and symbolically evoked the historical landscape of the municipality.
The square is dominated by the sandstone "Gate of Time" fountain by Petr Honzátek and bells from the 1950s, commemorating the history of the church and the work of local residents. The former factory chimney is now used by storks.
