The ascent begins in the center of Čeladná at the tourist information center. From there, you will head along the Zaječí stezka towards the Smrček restaurant. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will pass the Smrček restaurant and turn right from the marked trail to the Pod Smrčkem signpost. Then continue left along the unmarked forest trail that leads around the Smrček peak (858 m above sea level) to the Nad Holubčankou signpost. Here you will join the red tourist trail, which will take you up over the Smrk saddle to the very peak of Smrk (1,276 m above sea level).
