From the Chapel of St. Cyril and Methodius, head uphill along the blue tourist trail, and after about 0.5 km turn right onto the red trail. This will take you through quiet forest terrain to the Polana crossroads (about 4 km). From there, continue along the red trail to the peak of Smrku (1,276 m above sea level). The trail is well marked, but in the second part it is steeper and stony in places.
